Positive: We booked this room for a week for two people; the location is simply wonderful—everything is close by, including the shops and the ocean. We liked the nice bathroom and the ocean-view balcony, as well as the fact that the complex has a pool and a concierge. The kitchen was good, featuring a nice induction cooktop and all the necessary appliances. Negative: We didn't like that the sofa was dirty—it could have been cleaned of stains and marker marks. The wooden table was sticky; it should be replaced or at least covered with something so things (and hands) don't stick to it. The walls were also a bit dirty and had some markings on them. We weren't happy that the bed linen had stains—like marker marks—that apparently hadn't washed out; the linen smelled clean (so it had been washed), but the stains remained. There was no duvet, just a huge sheet that looked like it had been cut from something else. We also spotted a cockroach in the kitchen and one in the bathroom, though they might have wandered in from outside. Another downside was the lack of laundry detergent or pods; we had to buy some ourselves (we left the remaining pods for the next guests). There was a coffee machine but no pods or even instant coffee for it, even though there were containers meant for them. Another issue—though not strictly related to the unit itself, since the hosts don't manage the pool—was the excessive chlorine; it left a strong smell on our skin that was quite annoying. Also, the ceiling fan/light didn't cool the room effectively; since the room gets very hot, a standard air conditioner would be a better choice to keep it cool. Overall, though, things were fine; the hosts were reasonable, and the process was quick and hassle-free. For the price, it was acceptable, but I’d advise fixing these issues—which many other guests have already mentioned—in the future. Thanks!

En general todo da mucho asco, y estábamos deseando irnos. Positive: La ubicación, a un paso de puerto y el paseo marítimo. Negative: La verdad que hemos tenido una experiencia bastante mala en esta estancia: - El sofá-cama estaba roto, no está estable, las patas de la parte que se abre no apoyan en el suelo. El colchón sucio, con meadas u otras cosas que mejor no saber. No tenía funda ni nada para protegerlo. Las almohadas bastante sucias y viejas. Te levantas con dolor de cuello, tuvimos que liarlas con nuestras propias toallas. - La mesa de la cocina estaba sucia y pegajosa, se quedaba todo pegado al dejarlo, da bastante asco. Ni limpiándolo con estropajo y jabón se va lo pegajoso. - El frigorífico está sucio y con mucho hielo. Incluso en la parte de abajo, no solo el congelador. - En el baño nos han salido varias cucarachas. Esto ya es higine básica y un peligro de salubridad. - La puerta corredera para salir al balcón no se abre fácil, hay que hacer mucha fuerza, mucha mucha. - El ventilador de techo hacer un ruido horrible y vibra al girar, parece que se va a caer en cualquier momento. - En las calles aledañas es imposible apartacar. Dejamos el coche en el parking del centro comercial dónde está el Mercadona, la noche 24€. En general todo da mucho asco, y estábamos deseando irnos. El alojamiento ha hecho que nos vayamos con muy mala experiencia del Puerto de la Cruz.
